How to Upload or Submit Software to TUCOWS

We have to admit that "upload" is a mis-nomer in this context. It's a hold-over from the way we used to accept software. "Uploading" software to TUCOWS actually involves submitting a request to TUCOWS staff to add your software to one of the TUCOWS sites.

There isn't any way to simulate "uploading" software to TUCOWS without actually going through the process. However, by outlining the steps involved, this tutorial should help you understand what's involved and feel comfortable with doing it.

Skip this tutorial and go directly to Submit Center.

Four-Step Uploading Tutorial:

  1. Prepare the software you want to submit to TUCOWS
  2. Go to the TUCOWS Submit Center
  3. Complete form and send request to submit software to TUCOWS
  4. Wait for response from TUCOWS

1. Prepare the software you want to submit to TUCOWS

Make sure your software is ready to be used by others. It will be tested by TUCOWS staff before being published on our site, but we expect it to be free of bugs from the start, and that its documentation be free of spelling errors.

  • Your software must be uncompressed.
  • Your software must be virus-free.
  • Your software should qualify for our Cows rating system.

  • The "Cost" is the price you wish to sell your software for to TUCOWS visitors.
